"The dim sum here is honestly top-tier. I tried several different kinds, and every single one of them was spot on. The Xiao Long Bao and Siumai were especially impressive—the juice just bursts in your mouth, and it tasted exactly like the authentic ones you’d find in Hong Kong or mainland China. The only minor downside was that the beer wasn't chilled enough, so they served it with an ice cup. That was a bit of a letdown, but the quality of the dim sum was so high that it more than made up for it. If you're a dim sum lover, this place is definitely a must-visit."

"The food here was good, but the service could definitely be improved. It was quite slow, and we had to call the staff several times before getting assistance. The server who attended our table also seemed a bit unfriendly. Maybe she was just having a long day since we visited during dinner hours. That said, the food didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend the Salted Egg Shrimp, Shrimp Mayo, and Nasi Goreng Ibu. Those dishes were delicious and definitely the highlights of our meal."

"Most of the food we ordered tasted more than average. The first order that came was the fried rice, it was super fragrant (however it would be better if rice dish was not served the first). The pork ribs were tender and the sweetness was decent. We loved the roast duck; the meat was moist, and the skin was crispy. What a perfect combo! The squid was not my favourite but it's alright (maybe its seasoning was not too well absorbed into the squid). The birthday noodles were delicious, and the salted egg prawns were recommended. We also had the steamed minced pork which reminded us of home cooking, and sauteed pork bacon which was also well enjoyed. After being remodelled, May Star now has a minimalist concept. The lighting was soft, making the guests feel comfy. The staff were agile and attentive. Keep up the quality!"

"Great place for luxury authentic Chinese dining. May Star was originally from Hong Kong! I came here for a catchup with friends. We reserved 2 VIP rooms for 20 people. All the food tasted very authentic and delicate. Portion is enough. Service is quick and efficient. Price is not overpriced. Would be coming back again. My recommended dishes are their dim sum"
